In this blog post series we talk about Robopack, maybe the best third-party tool for managing and automating applications in Microsoft Intune. If you haven´t read the other post, please check them out here.

Robopack – Real word example of API use
Are you tired of CVEs? You thought that you had patched all applications last week but then suddenly another old app version is popping up with a known CVE. Start doing the same patching as last week… But wait, check out the Radar Tracking feature in Robopack which can help you with this so you don´t have to handle it manually anymore!
Radar Tracking will hook up with your last wave on a specific application (e.g. Notepad++) and periodically discover new/old devices with older versions of the app and keep them up to date by assigning them to a group that requires the installation of the latest version. This feature solves the problem that so many organizations are struggling with to have control over this type of scenario and at the same time help securing up the environment, which is a win-win situation.
After enabling the Radar Tracking feature on a specific application (e.g. Notepad++), press the Radar Tracking enabled symbol to see which computers has been automatically found with an old version of the app that are going to be patched automatically.
We at Xenit AB in Gothenburg (Sweden) are we are both MSP and Reseller of Robopack so please reach out to me via tobias.sandberg@xenit.se if you want to have more information about Robopack, are interested in buying licenses or want some consulting help in setting up and managing Robopack for your organization.
